Asia Still the Engine for Oil Demand
Oil demand growth will still be strong and about half of it will come from China and India, IEA head Fatih Birol says at a CERAWeek press conference in Houston. "We see a robust oil demand growth through 2023 and China continues to be the main driver," Birol says. IEA does expect a slight weakening in demand growth from China, but it is still strong enough to absorb what's coming from around the world.
