据TradeArabia网利雅得1月7日消息 沙特阿拉伯水电公司（WEC）已邀请各方表达对开发位于该国麦加省塔伊夫市附近的一个独立污水处理厂（ISTP）的兴趣。

沙特公共事业公司的一份声明称，新ISTP建成后的总处理能力将达到每天27万立方米。

该项目是沙特2030年远景规划的一部分，该规划认识到确保未来为沙特居民的生活质量提供可靠地污水处理服务至关重要。

根据WEC的计划，政府将兴建一系列新的独立污水处理厂（ISTP），以满足该国未来的污水处理需求。

作为沙特地区的一个战略项目，塔伊夫市独立污水处理厂将由几位全球领先的行业专家担任顾问。

Mizuho Bank将担任首席财务顾问，White & Case LLP将担任法律顾问以及WS Atkins & Partners是技术顾问。

WEC将通过竞争性流程选择开发商或开发商联合体，负责项目的开发、融资、工程设计、采购、施工、实施、所有权、运营、维护和转让，以及相关的基础设施等。

Saudi Arabia seeks bids for major sewage treatment plant

Saudi Arabia's Water & Electricity Company (WEC) has invited expressions of interest for the development of an independent sewage treatment plant (ISTP) located near the city of Taif in the kingdom's Makkah province.

On completion, the new ISTP will boast a total treatment capacity of up to 270,000 cu m per day, said a statement from the Saudi utility firm.

The project is being developed as part of Saudi Vision 2030 which recognises the critical importance of ensuring the future reliable provision of sewage treatment services for the quality of life of the kingdom's residents.

In line with WEC's ambitious programme, a series of new Independent Sewage Treatment Plants (ISTPs) will be commisioned to meet the future sewage treatment requirements of the kingdom.

A strategic project for the Saudi region, the Taif Independent Sewage Treatment Plant will have several leading global industry experts in the advisory role.

Mizuho Bank will act as the lead and financial advisor, while White & Case LLP is the legal advisor andWS Atkins & Partners Overseas Engineering Consultants are the technical advisors.

WEC will conduct a competitive process to select a developer or developer consortium for the development, financing, engineering, procurement, construction, implementation, ownership, operation, maintenance and transfer of the Project, together with associated infrastructure and facilities.
