据海上石油新闻网2019年7月24日阿德莱德报道，总部设在阿德莱德的桑托斯公司旨在恢复在其陆上麦克阿瑟盆地页岩气勘探项目钻井作业计划日前获得了澳大利亚北领地政府的批准。

这是自2018年初钻探页岩气禁令解除以来，北领地陆上页岩气勘探项目获得的首个环境管理计划。具体地说，获得批准的是在Daly水域以东麦克阿瑟盆的EP161勘探许可证区块内钻取Tanumbirini 2H井和Inacumba 1/1H井。

桑托斯公司拥有EP161勘探许可证区块的75%权益。

桑托斯公司说，批准恢复钻井是继上月批准在井位及其周围进行土建工程以及采集二维地震数据之后。

桑托斯公司在2014年完钻了Tanumbirini-1井，发现了令人鼓舞的天然气显示。

Santos gets nod for Northern Territory onshore shale gas exploration

Santos Ltd., Adelaide, has received approval from the Northern Territory government for the resumption of drilling in its onshore McArthur basin shale gas exploration program.

It is the first environmental management plan to be awarded for onshore shale gas exploration in the Northern Territory since the drilling moratorium was lifted in early 2018.

Specifically, the approval is for the drilling of the Tanumbirini 2H and Inacumba 1/1H wells in exploration permit EP161 in the basin east of Daly Waters.

Santos has 75% interest in the block.

Approval for the resumption of drilling follows last month’s approval for civil works at and around the well locations as well as for the acquisition of 2D seismic data.

Santos drilled Tanumbirini-1 in 2014 and found encouraging gas indications.
