据MENAFN通讯社8月8日消息称，南苏丹的石油日产量达到18万桶以上，此前该国将石油日产量提高了6000桶。

南苏丹石油部长Awow Daniel Chuang指出，在曼加油田关闭六年后，曼加油田1区和2区重新开始运营，之后，南苏丹决定提高石油产量。。

南苏丹石油部长部长预计，曼加油田的重新开采将强化政府的目标，即在今年年底前达到20万桶石油。

Chuang表示:“这对我们的生产来说意义重大，如果我们把这个数字转化为金钱，我们的收入将会有很大的提高。”

他进一步补充说：“我确信，到今年年底，我们将能够把产量提高到以前的水平，以发展其他行业。”

S. Sudanese oil production surges

Oil output in South Sudan stood at more than 180,000 barrels daily after the country imposed hikes by 6,000 barrels.

This decision to boost oil production comes after operations at Block 1&2 in Manga Oilfield were recommenced following six-years of closure, noted petroleum minister Awow Daniel Chuang.

Manga oilfields recommencement is expected by the minister to reinforce a goal the government set to lock 200,000 barrels of oil by the end of this year.

Chuang stated: "this is significant in our production and if we are to translate this figure into money, it would be a significant improvement in our revenue."

He further added that "I am sure up to the end of this year, we shall be able to increase the production to our previous level to develop other sectors."
