据世界天然气网站8月7日消息 智利国有矿业公司Codelco以1.935亿美元的价格将其在梅希约内斯液化天然气终端37%的股份出售给了Ameris Capital AGF基金。

位于智利安托法加斯塔地区550万吨/年的设施由法国能源巨头Engie运营，持有63%的股份。

Codelco指出，随着阿根廷天然气供应的恢复以及能源网络向可再生能源的强劲迁移，Codelco已经为其北部业务获得了足够的供应。

Codelco表示，这是公司决定出售其在梅希约内斯液化天然气工厂股份的原因。从2017年开始，超过100家公司对其中5家提交有约束力的报价表示感兴趣。

Codelco sells Mejillones LNG terminal stake

Chilean state-owned mining company Codelco has sold its 37 percent stake in the Mejillones LNG terminal to Ameris Capital AGF fund for $193.5 million.

The 5.5 mtpa facility located in Chile’s Antofagasta region is controlled by the French energy giant Engie, with a 63 percent stake.

Codelco noted that following Argentinian gas supply resumption as well as an energy network migrating strongly towards renewables, Codelco has secured enough supplies for its northern divisions.

This was the reasoning behind the company’s decision to sell its stake in the Mejillones LNG facility. Since the process started in 2017, over 100 companies have expressed interest with five of those submitting binding offers, Codelco said.

The sale of Mejillones LNG stake to Ameris Capital AGF will enable the company to finance part of its project portfolio and focus on its main priority, copper mining, the statement reads.
