改造方法如下：将柔性聚合物Kevlar套筒拖入天然气管道，可大大减少必要的工作量和时间。没有必要挖空街道，堵塞交通，只要在一段时间内限制车辆的流量就足够了。

重建的700米长的天然气管道已使用50年，在改造的帮助下，其使用寿命将再延长100年。

以前，白俄罗斯没有使用类似的方法。工作由明斯克天然气公司的专家进行。

2015年，莫斯科已经采用了这种天然气管道改造方法。
